If you can pay a little more your bank should be begging you to stay. Can you call your bank and work with them? Bank don't want you default either.

Unhappy

Lately, I've been paying a little bit more than i can. Which is affecting me. But i would rather keep my house than anything else i own at this moment. I tried speaking with them. I have an appointment to come in, in about a week. Hopefully they can work with me. Im really stuck between a rock and a hard place.

You are not alone sallij525. A lot of people are in the same boat in this economy. Hope you can work out the best solution. Good luck!

You may ask your mortgage company for a short term relief like forbearance, which is that the mortgage company will work out a short term loan payment amount with you that is affordable for you for a year or so.

I am sure that the mortgage company would rather not to foreclose your property in this bad economic time if you could get back to normal payment schedule after the short term forbearance.
